Peanut Butter Cup Pie Recipe

Crust

1 Oreo® Pie Crust (6 oz)

Creamy Pudding Filling

1 8 oz. pkg Philadelphia® Cream Cheese, softened

½ cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup cold milk

1 pkg Jello® instant vanilla pudding

1 cup thawed COOL Whip® Topping, divided

Chocolate Top Layer

3 Squares Baker’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1 ½ cups thawed COOL Whip Topping®, divided

Decorative Peanut Butter Design

1 T. creamy peanut butter

Directions:

Beat cream cheese and ½ cup peanut butter in bowl until well blended. Add milk and dry pudding mix. Beat 2 minutess. Wisk in 1 cup Cool Whip®. Spoon into chocolate crust. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Top Layer:

In the meantime, microwave 1 ½ cups Cool Whip and chocolate squares in a microwavable bowl on HIGH POWER for 1 ½ to 2 minutes or until chocolate is completely melted. Stir after each minute to blend well. Cool completely.

Spread chocolate over pudding layer in crust. Microwave remaining peanut butter in small microwavable bowl 30 sec. Stir. Drizzle over pie to decorate. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

I like the idea of chocolate peanut butter pie. My mouth is watering. I will let you in on a little secret. Peanut butter was one of my favorite foods when I was studying in university. Peanut butter proved to be high octane fuel for my brain. That combined with hearty servings of tuna, sardines, both of which are very high in protein. Your post brought back fond memories of my days as a student. Thank you.
