The variety of free birthday e-cards is plentiful. Find kid cards, adult cards, cartoony fun cards, animated cards, artistic cards, greeting card quality e-cards, postcards...it’s all just a click away. You can do a Google search to find e-card outlets or just use the links in this article.

The simple things that you will need:

• The recipient’s email address
• The sender’s (you) email address
• The birthday girl or boy’s birthdate
• An e-card website

If you'd rather give a printed birthday card, you can make one yourself! Making a Free Birthday Card on your computer is as easy as 1-2-3 with Microsoft Word.

How to do it:

1. Open Microsoft Word on your computer and select "New".
2. Scroll down in the left sidebar of templates and select "Cards".
3. Choose "Occasion & Event Cards" and click on the style that you like.

The templates utilizes text blocks for the message. You can personalize the card by inserting the name of the birthday-boy or birthday-girl and adding your own message. If you don't find a style that you like, also try the templates entitled "Invitations". Some designs are birthday party invitations and the words in the text block can be modified to make it a birthday greeting instead of an invitation. (Examples on this page).

Buy a FREE Birthday card? That's kind of an oxymoron, isn't it? Well, some great card and stationery companies offer "Buy One, Get One Free" deals. One of them is Current Company. Check out their catalogs and website for the "get one free" offers.
